The Blue Hen is a regional American fare restaurant set in a similar ‘beach casual with class’ décor that personifies The Avenue. Using the small independent farm and purveyor products that made The Oyster House famous, The Blue Hen will be delivering the same commitment to top quality eats, craft beers and boutique wines. Coupled with the excellent guest service and professionalism that Chris and Joe have developed their team to deliver, The Blue Hen is the new favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

I come to The Blue Hen somewhat frequently, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious—especially the fried chicken, which is one of my favorites. The biscuits are absolutely amazing, and the drink selection is great, with a solid variety of wine, beer, cocktails, and even a few non-alcoholic options. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Prices are a little on the high side, but in line with most restaurants in town. Highly recommend!

Beautiful evening spent by their outdoor fireplace. Great service and atmosphere. Chicken Corn chowder was amazing as were the biscuits, scallops, lobster toast and drinks especially the Frose'. The hotel even serves delicious chocolate chip cookies to their guests. It was the perfect start to our weekend getaway just after labor day.

We have been to this restaurant several times and had good meals. However, yesterday evening we went there for appetizers and the food was disappointing. The calamari we ordered was covered with onions and peppers. The only thing it did for the dish was made the calamari soggy and presentation was not pleasing to the eyes.
The appetite lobster toast which had been one of our favorite dishes on the menu was tasteless. That is not the dish we order in the past. Lastly, the charcuterie board was served on a board that has seen better days. That board needs to go in the trash. The food on the board was put together in a way that was not pleasing. What a shame we come to Rehoboth several times a year and your restaurant was always on our list. As I said disappointing.
