Ross Mansion
The Governor Ross Mansion is a peaceful and beautifully preserved historic site. The grounds are calm and relaxing, and the house itself offers a fascinating look into 19th-century life. It’s the kind of place you appreciate more if you enjoy history, details, and slow walks through well-kept property.

Wow. Should of read the reviews before coming here. I tried to have an outing with my three young kids, but I guess the older women working here come from the “kids should be seen, not heard” generation. It’s honestly sad. You try and do something educational with your children, but the people working there expect your young children to be silent. Ha!

It was like stepping back in time to the world of Charles Dickens. Top hats, ear trumpets and wonderful period furniture decorate this amazingly well preserved mansion tucked away in Seaford Delaware. The caretakers are lovely people and I enjoyed every minute of my visit there.
