Ocean Glass Inn

Met the owner of this establishment and she put a lot of work into making this hotel as welcoming and unique as possible. The rooms / spaces were extremely clean, The free breakfast had a great selection, there were Plenty spaces for parking. It is about a 20ish minute walk from the boardwalk and beach, making it very convenient and accessible. The only downside was the small bathrooms. However, I will be adding this hotel to my rotation the next time I’m in this area.

This is a belated review but one I absolutely had to write because of my FANTASTIC experience at the Ocean Glass Inn. To start with, the rooms were absolutely impeccably clean and thoughtfully put together. I loved how friendly and kind the staff were and attentive to all of the needs of me and my friend who were staying there. I also want to give a personal shout out to the owner Jadine Pilotti who was so incredibly kind, accommodating, and gracious to my friend and I when she became ill on our trip and we needed to add on additional nights and rooms, she was so lovely and helpful. 10/10 recommend, would absolutely stay here again!

We came to this location in November 2023 and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and outside the bathroom being a bit chilly, the facilities/amenities were good.

This year (2024) we had the unfortunate experience of meeting the owner of this establishment. According to her, the management staff that we met last year “ran it to the ground”. The owner checked us in and told us heating was set at 67 degrees. However the room was freezing the first night we were there. When we asked about it the next morning, the owner said we must have turned the air conditioning on and that it was essentially our fault for the room being so cold. When we tried to argue that we never used any mode button she didn’t agree and kept making lame arguments ranging from someone must have changed the mode from “oh no it’s all centrally controlled” to “why didn’t you call me even if it was 3am!”

The day we checked in and asked for more blankets she insisted we already had extra blankets and gave us one thin blanket after a lot of resistance. That makes me wonder how willing she would be to take a call at 3am!

Additionally, the lovely breakfast we had last year was nowhere to be seen. The owner told us the breakfast was now continental and there would be no hot food items. We were further told that if we were unhappy with the breakfast items, we were welcome to go to the cafe across the street.

We came back to this place due to the practices that “ran it to the ground” last year, but the owner seems to be doing a better job of doing that this year. We will not be returning to the ocean glass inn after this trip due to the abysmal customer service experience.
