On the south shore of Indian River Bay, this park is positioned to provide a grand view of the whole bay with a boat ramp, picnic pavilion and a 1.7 mile nature trail that takes you through three different ecosystems' beach, marsh, and forest. Enjoy clamming and crabbing from the pier. Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset. Entrance fee May through October with annual vehicle permits available. Beautiful and a great experience for crabbing and clamming! It’s all very close to the parking which is a plus with kids. We crabbed off the pier and got a horseshoe crab, a mama blue crab with eggs and probably 6-8 other blue crabs. We tried our hand at clamming but I think the water was high the day we went so we weren’t super successful but still had fun. Bring bug spray if you’re going to do the trail in the late afternoon/evening! Did not have a problem with bugs at all on the pier though.

Fabulous year round, even in fog... trails, camping, kayak launch.. wonderful birding!!!

This is my first time here. I really love this park. The trail is so beautiful and peaceful. The view of the water is also relaxing. The trail I took was 1.72 miles, much longer than I thought. My girls did well!! It's $8 for put of state and $5 for in state visitors. There is a pay machine at one end of the parking lot by the canoe launch. I came in Oct and not sure if other people paid, but I before park entrance fee applies to all year round.
