Location is great but almost everything else was a terrible experience. The rooms ac could barely keep up. There were noises in the night that woke me up several times and then in the morning I discovered that the ceiling was falling due to a water leak in the bathroom. The floor had several inches of water and the toilet and sink were all wet. I was didn’t have time to wait for the staff at 6am to come and clean it up so I had to get ready in the bathroom in the lobby. The front desk staff said I would have to call back to talk to a manager. After 5 phone calls, I was finally able to speak with someone and he said that there was nothing he could do because I waited until I was leaving to tell them. Seriously, what was I supposed to do, make myself late for work while I waited on them to come and clean it up? Have them bring me an umbrella to hold over my head while I brushed my teeth? The staff, service, and quality at this hotel did not meet even the lowest standards of Hilton quality. Hampton Inn guarantees a free night if you are not happy and they will not honor that guarantee. Save yourself time and energy and just stay at the Marriott down the street.

I planned a getaway for my boyfriend and I, we're both in college and just wanted one last weekend of fun before school starts. The day before my reservation, my car started shaking and making this really weird and hard click so I took it to the shop. Unfortunately, the news was not great and I was advised not to take my car on a road trip. I live 3 hours away from Rehoboth, so I called the hotel immediately after, trying to find a way to cancel without losing $300 because after all... I am an independent college student. The evening front desk person told me I couldn't cancel but to call in the morning when the manager Mary was in. I did call in the morning but the front desk agent did not put me through when I asked to speak to a manager which I understand, I am a front desk lead agent at a hotel as well so I know how this goes. She told me I could not cancel nor get a refund regardless of my situation. So I did begin to drive to DE a little later in the day, unfortunately just as I was advised I shouldn't have. My car broke down on the way there, I was still an hour and a half away. I called the hotel one last time to see if anyone could do anything and I spoke to Mary. She was absolutely amazing and considerate. She was compassionate and waived my fee for the reservation, which I really appreciated because I was having an extremely stressful day and the last thing I wanted was to lose more money or even $300 for my stay that I couldn't make it to. I just wanted to write this as a huge thank you to Mary. I would definitely book again and really hope I get to stay and enjoy Rehoboth. Thank you again Mary, you turned my day around despite what I was dealing with. You have no idea how much that meant to me!

We've been to many hotels as a family and I have to say even though it's not a 5 star on Google (per say), the service is beyond a 5 star. Thank you to Traci and Brian in the front desk as well as everyone else working there not one employee gave me a negative attitude when I had a question or needed help. Thank you for the complimentary cookies, tea, coffee, water, cheese and wine night w/live music and most importantly for keeping this hotel clean and smoke free. Everyone deserves a raise.
