  prompted to take inspiration from literature\, poems\, or song\nlyrics an
 d interpret the words or phrases through their own visual or\ncultural per
 spectives. Each piece transforms words into vivid\nexpressions of color\, 
 form\, and texture whether abstract or\nfigurative. Viewers will find that
  some of the works illustrate the\nquote while others reflect universal or
  intensely personal thoughts\nand meanings. Techniques used include letter
 ing\, painting\, dyeing and\ncollaging utilizing commercial or hand-dyed f
