 lde\, Lewes in\nBloom founder who recently stepped down. Warren and this e
 vent’s\nfounder Ted Becker coordinated the\nplanting of 5\,000 tulips 18
  years ago. The organizing committee is\nchaired by Lewes in Bloom Co-Chai
 r Ed\nZygmonski and includes the other two Lewes in Bloom co-chairs\, a\nr
 epresentative from City of Lewes Parks and\nRecreation Commission\, Lewes 
 Chamber of Commerce\, Zwaanendael Museum\nand Historic Lewes. This year\nL
 ewes in Bloom funded the purchase of 33\,000 tulips and spring bulbs\nthat
  were planted in fall 2025 by 150\nvolunteer members of Lewes in Bloom.\nT
 he timing of the tulips’ appearance is an inexact science and\neither mi
 lder or colder weather in advance of the\nevent dates can increase the pro
 bability that the dates of the\ncelebration may not exactly coincide with 
 the tulips\nblooming! The event dates span three weekends.\n\nTiptoe To Th
 e Tulips Map: The event organizers created the Tiptoe To\nThe Tulips Map t
 hat will be available in\nlate March at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce’s 
 Visitor Center located\nin the historic Fisher-Martin House in\nZwaanendae
 l Park. The visitor center is open Monday – Friday\, 10\na.m. – 4 p.m.
  Copies of the map will be\navailable at brochure boxes throughout the his
 toric commercial\ndistrict. The map lists more a dozen locations\nwhere th
 e bulbs were planted. It also has a schedule of activities\nassociated wit
 h the Tulip Celebration.\n
